A GRADE
Thankfully we were playing inside today as the conditions outside were wet and cold. The A grade started off very quick paced with the Hillies breaking many centre passes. The memento didn’t waver all game, even with the registering of four A reserve players. All players who took the court worked tirelessly in defence and attacking positions. With the score blowing out early there were opportunities to try some systems and different combinations. Well done to all girls who took the court and applied pressure for the full four quarters. A strong team game against a younger opposition – well done to all players who contributed well throughout the game.
Final Scores: HILLIES 97 DEF HEATHCOTE 23

A RESERVE
It was a great start for the A Reserve team in the indoor stadium at Heathcote. It was a very fast paced game which allowed the girls to get quick turn arounds, resulting in a high score for the White Hills girls. Sharp shooting from the goalers and quick passes in the circle, allowed the shooters to shoot from a comfortable range which had their confidence booming. The Hillies defenders worked well together with different combinations ensuring fresh legs, this being the catalyst for the many turnovers. The mid court was speedy and accurate feeding the ball into the ring maximising goal opportunities for the team.

B GRADE
Hillies B Grade came up against some tough opposition in Heathcote last week. The girls playing some tight defense to start off but were unable to turn it into a strong lead. C Grader Paige stepped up for her first game in seniors and didn't disappoint. It was a close game for the entire four quarters, but it would be the Saints who would come out victors on this day.

C GRADE
Last week the Hillies girls were very happy to be playing undercover at Heathcote. A great start by our girls was consolidated throughout the first quarter, scoring off most turnovers created by the defenders. Abbie played her first game up, and slotted in perfectly. A great four-quarter effort!

PRIMARY D
It was an early start for the young ones this week, but that didn't deter them, with a full team turn out. The opposition were a slightly smaller and younger group, so it was a good game to work on our court play. Anna did a great job in centre, passing well to the attacking players. Emma, who is always enthusiastic and willing to learn, did well in defence, reading the ball well, and picking off heaps of loose balls.
Incentives: Anna Purtill & Mikaela Monigatti
