Last week the Under 17’s came up against the powerful Locky boys and they showed why they are on top of the ladder, and while the Hillies would have been disappointed with the game, they still have a chance to redeem themselves in the Elimination Final . Both Bret and Macca will be encouraging the boys to give it their best shot and see if they can come away with a win. Best Players: M. Kent, M. Begg, J. Robertson, C. Jones, J. Reddish
The 2’s had their best win of the year, coming from behind to take the points over the highly ranked Locky side. They had a slow start, but worked their way into the match and after kicking numerous points started to get some goals on the board and once they gained the lead in the last quarter, held onto until the siren sounded. The boys have a real belief in themselves and each other and are really looking forward to playing finals after not being there for a few years. Best Players: B. Wallis, D. Bowles, M. Baxter, A. Graham, B. Thornton, L. Crapper
The Seniors were able to stay with Locky until half time, but were unable to keep up the pressure for the whole game, going down by a large margin. But the finals can be a different game, and they are still in the mix if they can put it all together today against North. Best Players: H. Wright, G. Noonan, P. Angove, J. Griffin, E. Dickins, N. Rice
