A GRADE
In a rematch of last year’s grand final the Hillies were determined to not make the same mistakes again. They got out to a great start and never looked back. All girls played well and never dropped focus. Dan played an exceptional 200th game. Let's go one further this year girls and bring home the trophy!

A RESERVE
The girls began nervously, allowing Mount Pleasant to have the lead in the first quarter. Once the nerves settled, the team started to play their own game and were able to move the ball more freely down the court with the mid-court players providing lots of options. The goalers were accurate, while the defence end worked tirelessly to create turnovers. The girls kept the pressure on all game, allowing them to take and maintain the lead, eventually winning by 6. Congratulations to the girls on earning a well-deserved place in the grandfinal.

B GRADE
The b grade girls knew taking on mounts at mounts would be quite a challenge. We started off focused with a few nerves but very keen to get out there and prove we deserved to be in the grand final. After a strong first half with strong leads throughout the mid court and great rotation in the goal circle, we had a short lead at half time. The 3rd quarter would be the decision maker. Our defense were unstoppable, took big intercepts and applied constant pressure. The goalers were spot on and rebounded very well. Wise words from coach Christie included “we’re up, we just have to score off our centre’s” – and that’s what we did, winning the game by 2 goals. So to Strat, Mel, Cherie, Suzi Wong, Roo, Carz, Tessa, Em, Keels, Han Russ and Shanny James – ERE WE GAH!!

C GRADE
With the c graders form going into last week's final, and the strong support given to them, the girls knew they would have a good crack against the bombers. The game was played at a very high pace, but the girls were able to slow it down when needed. Whether injured or tired, all 8 girls who took the court gave it their absolute and led most of the way through the game. The final minutes were very tense, and while the Hills came up just 2 goals short, their effort and determination was a real credit to them. Well done girls on a great season, hope to see you all back next year.

D GRADE
The girls knew that this was always going to be a tough encounter against a quality opposition in Leitchville. The girls began slow out of the blocks and let our opposition get a slight lead going into the qtr time break, however to the girl’s credit we kept on fighting ‘til the end like true Hillies spirit! Our fight back in the last quarter was great to see & proved that you all can play some great netball. Thank you to everyone that came out and watched the girls so early. Today we face a much improved North Bendigo side who we can’t afford to take lightly, we all need to be prepared to play 4 full quarters of netball – As you know there is a Grand Final waiting for us if we really do WANT IT! Let’s go girls!
