Dannielle came to the White Hills Football Netball Club as a junior player in 1999. Dan was a dominant junior player with her playing ability being acknowledged through her winning both the HDNA Best & Fairest Award, and the WHFNC Best & Fairest Award for C Grade in 2002 & 2003, a fantastic achievement.
In her first season as a regular Senior Player in 2004, Dan was awarded the WHFNC A Reserve Best & Fairest Award, and was Runner-Up in 2007. In 2008, Dan was the recipient of the WHFNC Best & Fairest Award in A Grade.
Dannielle has represented the HDNA junior squad teams on 4 occasions – in 1999 & 2000 (15&U) and 2001 & 2003 (17&U).
Dan had also experienced team success, playing key roles in the 2000 & 2001 C Grade Premierships, and the 2004 & 2005 A Reserve Premierships. Dannielle was also awarded the HDNA Best on Court in the 2001 C Grade and 2004 A Reserve Grand Finals.
Dannielle is a versatile player, undertaking key roles at both ends of the court. Dan is a skillful and accurate goaler whose height causes many headaches for opposition teams. At the other end of the court, Dan is a hard-working defender who makes her opposition goaler work hard for every ball.
Off the court, Dan is a regular contributor to the Football and Netball Club. In late 2005 Dan sustained a serious knee injury which kept her from taking to the court in 2006, however she coached the B Grade team to a premiership. She regularly umpires (Dan received her C Grade Umpiring Badge in 2005), was a member of the 25th Anniversary Celebrations committee, and has been the Football Club’s Treasurer for the past three years. Dan is always one of the first people at the courts on a Saturday morning undertaking a number of tasks, and as a result of her regular contributions she was awarded Life Membership in 2008.
The White Hills Football Netball Club would like to congratulate Dannielle on playing her 200th game today - a fantastic milestone, we hope you have a great game Dan!
