Woori Yallock Football Club
ANNUAL BALL.
Sounds of gaiety emanating from the Woorl Yallock Hall on Friday night denoted that the annual footballers' ball was in progress. A peep inside showed the club's colours conspicuous in the decorative scheme, with a tasteful background of navy and silver completed with pink floral wings (kindly lent by Mrs. Allsopp) and Jardinieres of trumpet lilies. A record crowd-the largest seen at the hall for some time was present to enjoy 'the splendid music provided by Russell's orchestra, and everyone obtained a fall.
Measure of happiness from the function. Mr. T. Spicer made a capable M.C. The cup for the best and fairest players (the gift of Cr. Bowle) was presented to Frank Cameron by Mr. I. Stevens, who voiced a few well-chosen remarks about the recipient.
That popular player made an appropriate response.,
An excellent supper was served by the energetic committee. Dancing continued till the small hours. and the proceedings were enhanced by the beauty of a fine moonlight night. The ladies' dresses made a kaleidoscope of colour as their wearers circled the room, adding greatly to the brightness of the scene, which was one of animated gaiety through out.
