Under 19s report
The competition is now a race between 5 sides for 4th spot a win today puts us only 1 game out of the top 4. Mulgrave was in the same position so a critical game for both of us & that’s exactly what we got, a real contest to the very end. We started the game without 4 of our best players not ideal but with a big list it gave some of our boys an opportunity to step up. Mulgrave dominated the clearances in the first half & held a handy 2 goal advantage at the big break. Moving Cam Pirzas & Josh Valle into the middle, we got control back in that area & began to create more chances but Mulgrave wouldn’t go away & we led by only 4 points at 3/4 time. Mulgrave jumped out early with 2 quickies putting our boys under a lot of pressure. We got 1 back mid quarter so the last 10 minutes became a real nail biting arm wrestle. With 2 minutes go after some well-constructed footy at half back, the ball landed with the skipper at CHF, as Gus slipped down from the wing into a hole 30 metres out Max calmly hit him up. Gus went back and clammy slotted the winner

Reserves Coaches Report
Very good result for us with a solid win making it two in a row as we continue to build our form as a group, the frits half was a frustrating one as we didn’t put the score on board from our chances kicking 5 points in the 2nd qtr and really we should’ve had a 5-6 goal lead instead of a 2 goal lead at the main break. To their credit they made is play hard and fight to really get on top which we did in the 2nd half particulary in the last qtr where finally got reward for our efforts booting 4 goals whilst playing the style of footy we are aiming for. Our back 6 was super with Marty De Luca across half back leading the way with voice and direction, Blake Lee lead up as a target all day and Matty Hill put another solid performance on the board with run and carry. This week we play the undefeated Mooroolbark away which will be our biggest test of the year and a huge opportunity for the group to show our wears, can’t wait! Huge shout out to our supporters and all that helped out thanks very much

Senior Coaches Report
This week we hosted Mulgrave who were in the same boat as us searching for their first win of the season so we knew we would be facing a desperate opponent.
We had a real focus of starting well and bringing the defensive pressure early. Pleasingly we were able to do this recording a season high 19 tackles in the first quarter. This allowed us to get our offensive game going and we went into the ¼ time with a 20 point lead.
We started the 2nd quarter well, but our pressure dropped off towards the back end allowing Mulgrave to close the gap to 11 points at half time.
Our 3rd quarters had been disappointing all season so we were desperate to rectify that this week. We responded to that challenge and put together one of our best quarters for the season kicking 5.4 and stretching the margin back out to 21 points at ¾.
For the first time all season we were in a winning position going into the last quarter and we were not about to let that slip. We played good hard defensive footy restricting Mulgrave to 2 scoring shots and ran out victors by 30 points
Lou Marro was fantastic coming back into the team kicking 4 goals and applying enormous pressure and James McCubbin was dangerous all day up forward posting 3 majors.
Thanks to all the supporters who came out and helped us get our first win of the season we appreciate your support.
