The Grand View Bayside Bombers Masters has stretched its unbeaten start to the season to 6 after a hard fought 30pt win over a dogged Northern Stars side.
Kicking into a strong breeze they got to work with Haze,Frenchy and Rookie working overtime in defense and setting up the likes of Wheels, Dukes and Clinton goals.
The 2nd qtr was time to cash in with the wind and Ada, 1st gamer Geoff Buswell, Johnboy and Tait dominating the centre the bombers had a 5 goal to 2 qtr to go into the long break with a 28pt lead.
The northern stars came out blazing in the 3rd before the bombers settled with some late goals, evergreen Fiddylenko,Aker and Simon battled hard to keep possession and maintain the bombers lead.
The last qtr was one of attrition with injuries and exhaustion taking its toll. 'A hard fought win' asst coach dougy beamed after the game, 'the boys are determined to keep our unbeaten run going and are playing some really good footy' he said. 'We had 11 out this week so it was so it was a fantastic effort by all the boys today'
