Eastlake Football Club is pleased to announce Rebecca Hall will continue in her role as Women’s Coach for the 2017 season.
The is team currently sitting on top of the ladder heading to the final round of home and away matches this weekend, with the Club was keen for Hall to continue next season following her first season as Coach in 2016.
Hall has been involved with the Club since 2008 having originally played with ANU and has played in a number of premierships with the Club more recently in 2015 and has been a regular representative player for the ACT taking her tally to over a combined 200 games.
“The Club and the women’s team have been great to me as a player and I cherish the friendships I have built up with a number of my teammates over the past number of seasons. First and foremost is the remaining games this year as we aim for back to back premierships with a view of retaining a majority of the playing group for next season” said Hall.
“We have had around 9 to 10 girls new to the game this season which has been exciting to see them develop, so if we can build on that along with experienced group of players, the immediate future of the team is really looking good” she further added.
“Bek has been a fantastic leader on the field and her achievements are well known amongst the women’s grade. She has really embraced the role in 2016 as a playing Coach and with women’s footy continuing to evolve both locally and nationally, Bek will continue to develop as a Coach over the next 12 months following her first year this season” said Football Manager Stephen Soulsby.
