The Fiona Winter Realty Noosa Tigers finished their home and away campaign with a strong 100 point victory over Aspley at Weyba Road last Saturday. As is becoming a habit the Tigers were sluggish for much of the first half however finished all over the top of their lowly ranked Brisbane based opponents. And whilst experienced performers Nick Hill, Gary Wallace, Robbie Copeland and Brent Moloney led the way with great decision making and skill, it was the Tiger young brigade who impressed the faithfull.
Cain Tickner was outstanding for the Tigers in every role he was asked to fill and continues to make an impact as the Noosa boys strive towards the 2015 finals series. Young ruckman Lachie Cameron just keeps on impressing and is quickly becoming a crowd favourite in the way he goes about it. Corey Boardman has had a terrific debut season with the seniors and his confidence in gathering plenty of touches and converting that into positive skill decisions has made this teenager a real handful for opposition sides. Add to this the skill and poise of midfielders Jai Fitzpatrick and Riley O`Dwyer and we at Noosa have some really exciting times ahead. And I couldn't not mention 16 year old Rhys Tarling who has played the last 2 games with the seniors and certainly does not look out of place. Well done Rhys!
Of course there is another youngster who made a fair bit of difference last weekend after missing a month through injury - Jed Brain. And didn't he put on a show bagging 7 goals and entertaining the crowd with some outlandish goal scoring antics. Brain is a key for the Tigers especially with his clever skill and goal sense and his form and conversion will play a massive part in the Tigers premiership assault.

A bye awaits the Noosa Tigers this weekend before the finals start Saturday week as we host Caloundra at Weyba Rd in a knockout first semi final. A massive crowd and day awaits and whilst the Tigers have been hot and cold for the best part of the year its big games and especially finals where the best comes out of the Noosa Football Club.
A magnificent final presidents lunch was had by all as special guest Drew Morphett and his good friend Helmut Vashing entertained some 70 guests. The popular sports broadcaster had the crowd in stitches as he unveiled past stories and incidents from his long career in the media, none better than his and Helmuts experiences at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Once again a great job done by Scotty McKenzie and his committee and of course Peter Thynne and the Richmonds supporters Club for making these lunches such a success. Thanks once again to all those local businesses who continue to sponsor these lunches and also the accommodation resorts who donated fantastic holiday packages for our auction at last weeks presidents lunch. It would be wrong not congratulate all the successful auction bidders and thank Numurkah boy Steve Holmes for his great job as auctioneer.
See you all two Saturdays at Weybe rd.Its the business end and from now on not to be missed.
Cheers
