SENIORS
Panton Hill enjoys playing against Mernda in the mud away from home, and hit the game hard again today to dominate the first half but not put enough score on the board. The Hills were only 3 points down at hlaf time, but playing some great football. However, Mernda made their move in the third quarter and kicked away to a 16 point lead by three quarter time following some clean entries into the forward line without sufficient Redbacks pressure. Nonetheless, The Hills kicked the first goal in the last quarter and finished with all the running to get themselves within 2 points. With a miniute to go the backline pushed forward and cleared the ball to Lloyd Toffolon on the forward flank who took the long shot after the siren but was too far out to get the Hills over the line. A great effort, but just not enough once again for the Redbacks.
